Call of Cthulhu: RELEASED

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth has been released yesterday, March 23! Congratulations!

For what I've seen playing it yesterday, it worths all the years of waiting. Lots of details, darkness, storyline... and the atmosphere. Yeah, you'll find the game quite familiar after our old fella Undying, and I am serious about that.

The computer game Trespasser takes place on a remote island, Isla Sorna. It is based on the Jurassic Park motion pictures and takes place after the incidents of "The Lost World", the second Jurassic Park movie. The island is property of a company named InGen which did a lot of research on recreating artificial dinosaurs and eventually succeeded. However they failed on keeping the dinosaurs under control and had to leave the island behind. The dinosaurs were then able to roam freely.

A couple of days ago Wajas85 at Standing Stones wrote about the Trespasser game and its fansite, TresCom. I've found and installed the game and was excited! For the far 1998 this game is awesome. I can recommend it to any Undying fan, especially since it had been developed by the Dreamworks Interactive and, according to Undying developer Roakana, the same people who made Undying took part in creating of the Trespasser.

Browse the TresCom site to get more information about the game.

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth released

Official site of the game offers great news:

October 24, 2005 (Rockville, MD) - Bethesda Softworks® and 2K Games announced today that Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth™, a highly anticipated survival horror game for the Xbox® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, has shipped to retail stores in North America - just in time for Halloween. Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth will be shipping to European retail stores on October 28.

I have been watching this game's progress since I first heard of it, which was, as far as I remember, in 2003. And now, in 2005, it is released at last! Though PC version will follow soon, the game can be considered ready.

Visit official site and read the press-release.

DarkSide: Caves - New Mod Released!

Today we have released new mod for Undying - DarkSide: Caves!

This mod includes four brand new maps, lots of new scripts, textures, etc. It is a part of unreleased DarkSide project, which will never be released for Undying engine. We plan to move DarkSide mod on a different engine, possibly UT2004 or Source, but it will take a lot-lot-lot of time. So now, enjoy with a separate part: the Caves!

Investigation of your grandfather's life lead you to an island with strange stones set in a circle. Something went wrong and a kind of time-hole sent you to the same island, but now there's no way back.
Hopefully, you discover an entrance to underground tunnels which should lead to mainland...

You can download the mod here (7.4 MB)
